This Privacy Policy explains how Arcane Systems ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the Pawpularity mobile application (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Pawpularity is a social app where you upload a single photo of your pet and other users rate pets ("Pet" or "Pass"), with a global leaderboard of the highest-rated pets. The data controller for your information is Arcane Systems, contactable at arcanesystemsinc@gmail.com.
Pawpularity is a public rating app. Your username, your pet's name, your pet's photo, and your pet's scores, ranking, and vote counts are visible to all other users in the feed and on the leaderboard. Do not upload photos or use a username that you are not comfortable being publicly visible. Your email address is never shown to other users.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that power the App:
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies (see Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy). We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Pawpularity does not display third-party advertising, does not use an advertising identifier, and does not share your information with advertising networks.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (see Section 8), your data is deleted as described below. We may retain limited records where required by law (for example, transaction or tax records, which Google may also retain as the payment processor) or to prevent fraud and abuse.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly in the App:
Open the App → Profile → Settings (gear icon) → Delete Account → confirm.
Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible. It removes:
You are signed out immediately, and your public profile is removed from the feed and leaderboard.
Can't access the App? You may also request account and data deletion by emailing arcanesystemsinc@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account, or via https://pawpularity-app.web.app/delete-account. We will action verified requests within 30 days.
Note: completed purchase transactions are also retained by Google Play as the payment processor in accordance with their policies and applicable law; deleting your Pawpularity account does not delete records Google is legally required to keep. Already-spent Super Scritches and their effect on past ratings are removed as part of the deletion above.
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise the deletion right directly in the App (Section 8) or contact us at arcanesystemsinc@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact arcanesystemsinc@gmail.com and we will delete it.
We rely on Google Firebase's infrastructure and security controls, enforce server-side access rules so users can only access data they're permitted to, and transmit data over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your information may be processed and stored on Google's servers in the United States and other countries where Google operates. By using the App you consent to such transfers, which are protected by appropriate safeguards.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice within the App. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
